What to Expect in May

What’s rocking?

Sorry for not being as active in April! This can kinda be considered as a "still being worked on" devlog! Usually I try to keep my devlogs weekly or bi-weekly, but professors really ramped up assignments approaching the end of the semester (Also finals this week). I’m basically done with college until fall, so that means from now until the fall semester, I will basically be working on Soldiers’ Descent full-time!

Although I haven't had time to open up Unity or Blender, I've been spending this month writing/revising the Soldiers' Descent story, and there will be a separate long-form discussion post on how I revised the story either later today or tomorrow. May 5 is the one-year mark since I created this game, so I will be doing a very long livestream working on it! Most likely, I will doing asset creation and streams all month while also tweaking the demo. Because I'm announcing all of these plans, itch would most likely want me to leave the writing process as a long-form discussion post.

Since I’ve been a bit silent for a while, it feels good explaining what I’ve been doing recently. I’ll be honest, I feel behind on this project because of classes, and I’m not ashamed to admit I’ve had a bit of writer’s block. If I’m not active on itch for a while, I’m still active on Twitter because I can crank out smaller news faster, and you can directly communicate with me there through DM’s!  To see how far this project has come, download Soldiers’ Descent and experience the turn-based RPG with shooter elements!
