A New Soldier Joins the Team!


What’s rocking? 

Slowly, we’re approaching the one year mark since I started Soldiers’ Descent on May 5, 2021 as a mere tiny idea. At the same time, I was also banking on being the only person developing this game because I personally didn’t know anyone that could help me out. I also wasn’t expecting to get this far into development, yet luckily here we are very far into it! 


Introducing SirdiesalotXV!

Meeting him was actually a chance encounter while streaming Soldiers’ Descent’s development a few months back (twitch.tv/snakef8 if you want to say hi). We’ve been talking on and off to start, but eventually we talked more and more showing mutual interests in our ideas. One thing led to another, so now he’s a part of the team! In turn, I will be working with him on his project in the future.

SirdiesalotXV will be both a co-programmer and co-writer for Soldiers’ Descent. This will speed up development, and the overall quality for code and story writing should also improve because we can both peer review off each other’s contributions.


On Other News…

The next planned update will be delayed by either a week or two weeks. There’s a few reasons behind this though. I’ll be leaving next week for a field training exercise, and either the week after that or two weeks from then I have reserve duty. I could push an update the day before, but I want to keep the weekend releases I have going on. My main exception to this rule though are hotfixes to fix major and/or minor bugs. Even though there won't be an actual update release for awhile, I'm still going to say active, share content, and be as proactive as I can to make this project shine!
