Plans to THE REWORKENING! (And new update!)
What’s rocking?
Now that’s what I call a productive week! As far as I’m aware, I basically obliterated every single major bug that exists (and also many minor ones). I think it’s safe to say we are nearing the tech demo’s full completion.
What Does This Mean?
Everything onwards is going to be reworking, reworking, REWORKING! Oh, and expect some features added such as music, on-the-fly features, etc. Bugfixes too! There will still be some streams here and there, but they won’t occur as much as last week. I’m thinking they happen one or two times a week. I don’t think they’re going to be coding, so I’m thinking these will heavily involve animation, texturing, or 3D modeling.
For now, I’m not too satisfied with the UI sounds I made. I mean they’re fine, but I don’t feel like they match what I’m going for in the game. Whether you like them or not, please let me know in the comments section below, so I can decide whether to just tweak them or change them entirely. Just to be sure though, I’m going to experiment with making new UI sounds to see if I like something better. The current sounds reflect the RPG-ness, but they feel too synthetic and harsh. I have better VSTs now, so I can try and replace the instruments at first.
Unfortunately, the next update is going to be delayed by a week because I have a weekend-long lab activity I need to do for college. However, that means 0.3.3’s music will be worked on more, and I’ll have more time to work on the full demo.
Here’s what to expect throughout the week!
- A “probable” asset creation stream or two (Might be music-related)
Here’s what to expect on 3/26/22!
- Sound rework!
- Combat music (May be 0.3.3-a)
