It's Time For a Spring Cleaning Update! (0.3.1)
What’s rocking? Gotta pick some things up here.
This week’s update is a bit smaller than I anticipated, but this still serves as a good foundation for QoL features in the future. Midterms ate my time a good bit, so there is some stuff I didn't get to add. Point is: The demo now has stuff that’ll help with its presentation. Download to enjoy what's been worked on!
HOWEVER, I am now on spring break. No midterms, no assignments, FREEDOM from my computer science major for a bit! Because I have this entire week to do whatever I want, I will be treating my break developing Soldiers’ Descent like a full-time job.
Even though I fixed some things, there might be some stuff that I broke in the process. For example, I *might’ve* broken the save system a bit. It’s always been a tad busted, but it’s still functional to an extent. That’s on the list of “Major Things To Fix!” There may be some other stuff as well, but I don’t see how I broke them unless I bumped something.
What Does This Mean?
This week is going to be extremely productive since I have no other obligations. Because I’m at home, that also means I’m going to be spending a LOT of time streaming developing Soldiers’ Descent on Twitch at twitch.tv/snakef8. Feel free to stop by and say hi! Some other news, I’m currently using a stock shooting sound I’m modifying for different ammo calibers, but that may change because I’m going to a shooting range this week. If I’m able to, I’m going to try and record some sounds with what’s in my safe (my new AK is itching to be tried out, and I need to sight my AR anyways). The changelog may be small, but I have taken the time to prepare for this week on a spreadsheet, my schedule, and the design doc.
